Distance or Nonlocal Healing

Throughout our history as the human race, people have believed that healing can take place at a distance.  They believe it, because they have experienced it or seen its effects in others.  Sometimes it’s in the form of a formal healing event, other times through prayer or focused intention.  We’ve known in our hearts that this is real.  And now scientific research is confirming it. (For research on BodyTalk nonlocal healing, click here.)

Research confirms that it happens.  But we don’t yet have a firm understanding of how it happens.  That is still a mystery.

“Something unknown is doing we don’t know what.”

Sir Arthur Eddington – astronomer, physicist, mathematician

I prefer to use the term “nonlocal” when referring to healing effects at a distance, because it’s more accurate.  The term “nonlocal” means an event or effect that is not confined to the here and now – beyond space and time. Nonlocal phenomena are not in doubt in modern physics.   In fact, nonlocality is recognized as an innate feature of the natural world.

Some of us are comfortable with expressing all this in terms of God, or spiritual healing.  In this language, we can say that all true healing comes from Divine healing power.  What is so exciting is that now many scientists on the cutting edge of biology and especially physics are approaching similar language to describe their findings.  In the field of healing, we truly can witness the meeting of science and spirit!

How does this work using the BodyTalk System?

Since the BodyTalk System works with consciousness,  the practitioner can “tune in” to the client’s unique frequencies.  A technique developed by John Veltheim called MindScape is a very helpful tool in this process.  The client’s photo and intake information can also help with tuning in.

In my work, I call upon Divine healing power to work through me and to inspire my use of the BodyTalk System for the highest good of the client – and for myself.  With the perspective of our interconnectedness – both the practitioner and the client participate in the healing and both will receive its benefits.

As the client is not physically present, sometimes it is helpful to the practitioner to use props to help focus on the client.  A photo of the client works best for me.

The session then proceeds using the extensive BodyTalk protocol, identifying priority areas or issues that need attention, then focusing on these relationships while tapping on head and heart.

In addition to a full-body (clothed, of course) photo, I will also request the health intake form before the first scheduled session.  At the time of the session, we will make contact by phone whenever this is possible.  Otherwise, email contact will suffice.  For those clients who do not remain on the phone throughout the session, a full report (written or audio) will be sent.

The best results are attained when the client is able to take responsibility for his or her own healing and views the session as a tool. Healing is a process of growth, awareness and change and a cooperative effort between client and practitioner.  Whatever the perceived results from any one session, or series of sessions, there will always be change.

Some changes or shifts may be quite dramatic and felt immediately – including symptom relief. Or sometimes the changes will be more subtle and occur as a process that requires further sessions to get at deeper core issues.

Everyone’s experience will be unique.
